OSHAD Auditing

As per the latest version of Abu Dhabi Center for Occupational Safety and Health (OSHAD) System Framework version 3.1, it is a legal obligation for those organizations who have been notified to conduct an independent audit once annually through a registered OH&S Auditing Service Provider within the time frame as decided by the concerned Sector Regulatory Authority. The audit time required is calculated in line with IAF MD 5:2015 to perform the activities that include

Review of OH&S Management Systems against OSHAD SF V 3.1
Onsite audit to verify the degree of compliance i.e. the extent to which the documented OH&S systems are implemented effectively through observation of safe/unsafe acts & conditions, interviewing of personenl, and review of documentation including records
Report preparation

This includes the following

  • OSHAD SF V 3.1
  • Applicable SRA Regulations, Standards, Guidelines etc.
  • Industry International Best Practices
  • Determination of extent of conformity of an organization’s documented OHS-MS against the audit criteria
  • Evaluation of efficiency and effectiveness of aforesaid OHS-MS in meeting its specified objectives
  • Identification of areas for improvement in order to add value to the system

An audit report consequent upon objective evidence based accurate, thorough and in-depth audit aimed at the value addition to the system with recommendations for improvement and not just the compliance with in the time frame as agreed by both the parties
